GongDelin@WTC, Causeway Bay

This is the only vegetarian restaurant I have been to in Hong Kong, that serves really tasty vegetarian food.....its rare in Hong Kong, the food was fantastic...and full of flavours yet low on MSG taste...I would definately recommend anyone to go for a good healthy and delicious vegetarian meal....

well, apparently, it is Shanghaiese cusine...not Cantonese cuisine as I envisioned...

Vegetarian Dan Dan Mian - we all agree it taste like a non-spicy version of mee rebus..luvit.

tofu dumplings with spinach fillings - really simple dish, very authentic flavours.....and a really healthy dish too!

Shanghaiese Sheng Jian Bao - with tarragon/spinach fillings...so delicious....

this is a must order - crispy pork strips...alright, its gluten/beancurd...but so delicious!!

京香饺- Shanghaiese eatery at Caine Road

This place is the real deal...a bit dodgy, but overall clean but delicious chinese dumplings....prices are cheap too. Ambience- zero..so don't bring your date there...
I like the Zha Jiang Mian very much, and their main dishes turn out to be very well done. Nothing is too exotic or complicated, its simple plain good food, shanghaiese style. I would definately go back there to eat again..

Newspaper article on the eatery

Zha Jiang Mian! My favourite - I love the meat sauce and the huge servings of cucumber

Stir-fried Shanghaiese noodles

pork & chives dumplings - the soup ain't great..but the dumpling has got to be the best I ever tasted.

This deceptively simple looking cucumber with garlic is really good...I don't know why

sweet and sour fish - very nice, but too small a plate!

Wang Sha Bao, CityPlaza

This is somewhere where I often have lunch. Food is relatively good and affordable. It offers good Xiao long Bao, good spare ribs, and nice good old stir fried shanghaiese food. But it is not the most exquitsite shanghaiese food around. Always good for a quick lunch , or casual dinner.

Beef pan fried pancake - this is the best dish today

Hot and Sour soup

dumplings in spicy sauce - so so

plum flavoured spare ribs - this is good too!

Minced meat noodle - the noodle is good and warm

Xiao Long Bao - this is good!

Dessert - Dumplings in osmanthus wine ( dun really like the osmanthus wine part though)

Flower Trump Restaurant 花满楼 (Wyndham Street)

It was a recommendation of a friend that I went to this restaurant in Central. After tasting so much Zhejiang food in Hangzhou, the food in this restaurant do not really surprise me, but I have to say, the dishes are in general well done, and it is a good place to introduce folks to Zhejiang cuisine, if they have never tasted it before. I give it 3.5 stars. They have some good dishes like the hot spicy soup, and 干炒四季豆 .

appetizer - cucumber with conpoy ( nice!)

干炒四季豆

really good spicy and sour soup

sauteed fish on crispy rice crackers

dong po pork - it is very nice, not too special though
